Jakarta, March 20, 2023 - A total of 341 recipients of scholarships from the Education Fund Management Agency (LPDP) for the Affirmative Region and Sons and Daughters of Papua programs have participated in the Affirmation Orientation (AO) event, Class 2 of 2023. The event, held from March 6 to March 10, 2023, took place at BP3KSDMT Cibodas, Bandung Regency.
Out of the 341 participants, 238 are from the Affirmative Region Scholarship program, and 103 are from the Sons and Daughters of Papua Scholarship program. Among them, 270 are continuing to pursue master's degrees, while the remaining 71 are pursuing doctoral degrees.
This Affirmation Orientation event is the second one since its first occurrence in November 2022. Prospective LPDP scholarship recipients from Affirmative Regions (including the eastern regions of Indonesia) have significant potential and face extraordinary responsibilities and challenges for post-study dedication to advancing their regions.
"The journey is still long, but you are the selected intellectuals who receive support from the country to realize your dreams. To realize the dreams of the government and the Republic of Indonesia," said LPDP CEO Andin Hadiyanto, who attended the 2023 Affirmation Orientation event in Cibodas.
Affirmation Orientation is also expected to shape individuals with integrity, loyalty, tolerance, and outstanding personalities. This activity is simultaneously interpreted as strengthening networks and collaboration among all LPDP scholarship recipients from affirmative regions through experiential learning methods.
LPDP has committed to providing full support through affirmation orientation activities, language enrichment, and other support programs for the Affirmative Region and Sons and Daughters of Papua Scholarship programs.
