Our Objective, Tasks and Functions
The Indonesia Endowment Funds for Education directs its efforts to create future leaders from across fields. The management of the education endowment funds ensures the sustainability of educational programs for future generations as an intergenerational responsibility.
LPDP focuses on developing the quality of human resources in different fields, thereby supporting the acceleration in the country’s development. LPDP priorities the following fields of expertise engineering, science, agriculture, law, economics, finance, medicine, religious affairs, and socio-culture.
The Tasks and Functions of LPDP based on the Regulation of Minister of Finance Number 47/PMK.01/2020 regarding the Organization and Work Procedures of LPDP are as follows:
The Indonesia Endowment Funds for Education is entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the perpetual endowment fund for education, sourced from the National Education Development Fund, investment proceeds, and/or other legitimate channels. Its mandate is to ensure the sustainable continuation of educational initiatives for future generations, aligned with policies established by the Board of Trustees and the Minister of Finance as the General Treasurer of the State, in accordance with relevant legislation
LPDP undertakes the following functions:
- Planning, implementation, and development in the field of investments;
- Planning, implementation, and development of scholarships;
- Planning, implementation, and development of research funding facilitation;
- Coordination of task implementation, guidance, and provision of administrative and technical support to all organizational elements within the Education Fund Management Institution;
- Conducting internal audits of the Education Fund Management Institution's task implementation; and
- Execution of other functions as designated by the Minister of Finance.
