Scholarship for Diffable

The target of the Scholarship for Difable is the differently abled group or people with special needs who meet the requirements set by the LPDP, especially the blind or people with low vision, the deaf or people with hearing impairment, people with speech impairment, physically impaired people, and mentally disabled people. 

1. Scholarship for the Difable is provided for the following levels of education:

   1. Magister program of single degree with a maximum study duration of 24 (twenty-four) months; and

   2. Doctoral program of single degree with a maximum study duration of 48 (forty-eight) months.

2. Applicants for the LPDP Scholarship for the Diffable who have already received and uploaded an Unconditional Letter of Acceptance (LoA) provided by the destination university must choose 1 (one) destination university, either domestic or overseas, in accordance with the LPDP list of Higher Education Institutions.

3. Applicants for the LPDP Scholarship for the Difable who have not received an Unconditional Letter of Acceptance (LoA) must choose 3 (three) Overseas Destination Universities in accordance with LPDP list of Higher Education Institutions with the same/similar study program.

4. Awardees of the LPDP Scholarship for the Difable may join the language enrichment program.

• Indonesian citizen;

• Applicants have completed a four-year diploma (D4) or undergraduate study (S1) for magister scholarship, or a magister program (S2) for doctoral scholarship, or a four-year diploma (D4)/undergraduate study (S1) for direct doctoral scholarship. Applicants for direct doctoral scholarship straight from D4/S1 degree must meet the following provisions:

  • Having Unconditional LoA provided by the destination university; and

  • Fulfilling all requirements as applicants for doctoral (S3) scholarship.

• Applicants are not currently pursuing a magister degree to be eligible to apply for a magister program, and a doctoral degree to be eligible to apply for a doctoral program, either at a domestic university or an overseas university;

• Applicants who have completed a master’s degree (S2) are not allowed to apply for the magister scholarship program, and applicants who have completed a doctoral degree (S3) is not allowed to apply for the doctoral scholarship program;

• Applicants must attach letter of recommendation written by academics (for those who have not worked) or by super-ordinates (for those who have been worked);

• Applicants must choose the destination university and study program in accordance with the provisions of the LPDP;

• Scholarship is only eligible for regular class and is illegible for the following classes:

  • executive class;

  • special class;

  • employee class;

  • remote class;

  • classes not held at the parent university;

  • specific international class at domestic purposes;

  • classes held in more than 1 country; or

  • other classes that do not meet LPDP requirements

• Applicants must complete the personal profile on the online registration form;

• Applicants must write a Personal Statement (no special format is provided);

• Applicants must write a statement letter disclosing the commitment to returning to Indonesia and providing contribution plans for Indonesia after completing study;

• Applicants for doctoral scholarship program must write a research proposal.

• Applicants belong to the difffable group or people with special needs, consisting of:

1. 1. The blind or people with low vision,
   2. The deaf or people with hearing impairment,
   3. People with speech impairment,
   4. Physically impaired people, or
   5. Mentally disabled people

2. Attach an acknowledgment letter of the diffable group issued by hospitals or medical clinics;

3. Willing to sign/approve the statement letter on the registration application upon submission (points are attached);

4. Meet the age limit of applicants as of December 31 in the registration year as follows:

   • Applicants for magister program must be aged 42 (forty two) years at the oldest or below;

   • Applicants for doctoral program must be aged 47 (forty seven) years at the oldest or below.

5. Upload a Grade Point Average (GPA) document of bachelor/master’s degree with the following provisions:

   • Applicants for master’s degree must have a Grade Point Average (GPA) at the previous study level of at least 2.5 on a scale of 4 or its equivalent as evidenced by the original or legalized transcript.

   • Applicants for doctoral degree must have a Grade Point Average (GPA) at the previous study level of at least 3.0 on a scale of 4 or its equivalent as evidenced by the original or legalized transcript.

   • Applicants for doctoral degree graduating from the magister program through research (without GPA score) are required to attach the graduation certificate issued by the origin university.

   • For overseas graduate applicants, the GPA score is converted to a scale of 4 via the link https://www.scholaro.com/gpa-calculator/ and the conversion is attached along with the transcript.

6. Upload a valid English proficiency certificate issued by ETS (www.ets.org), PTE Academic (www.pearsonpte.com), IELTS (www.ielts.org), Duolingo English Test (englishtest.duolingo.com), or Test of English Proficiency/TOEP (plti.co.id) with the following provisions:

   • Applicants for domestic magister program must obtain a minimum score of English language proficiency TOEFL ITP® 400, TOEFL iBT® 33, PTE Academic 30, IELTS™ 4.5, Duolingo English Test 65, TOEP 36;

   • Applicants for overseas magister program must obtain a minimum score of English language proficiency TOEFL ITP® 500, TOEFL iBT 61, PTE Academic 50, IELTS™ 6.0, Duolingo English Test 95, TOEP 66;

   • Applicants for domestic doctoral program must obtain a minimum score of English language proficiency TOEFL ITP® 450, TOEFL iBT® 45, PTE Academic 36, IELTS™ 5.0, Duolingo English Test 75, TOEP 46;

   • Applicants for overseas doctoral program must obtain a minimum score of English language proficiency TOEFL ITP® 500, TOEFL iBT® 61, PTE Academic 50, IELTS™ 6.0, Duolingo English Test 95, TOEP 66;

   • A valid TOEFL ITP certificate must be issued by an official institution administering the TOEFL ITP test in Indonesia.

7. Applicants who have an Unconditional LoA study starting time of which is in conflict with LPDP provisions must upload a defferal letter from the related destination university.

1. Register online on the homepage of LPDP Scholarship Registration by visiting https://beasiswalpdp.kemenkeu.go.id/

2. Complete and upload all the required documents on the registration application.

3. Make sure to click ‘submit’ on the registration application to get the registration code.

The selection process of the scholarship applicants consists of:

• Administration Selection;

• Substantial Selection concerning Academic and Civic Knowledge; and

• Interview Selection;

• Unconditional LoA is an official admission from a university which states that the applicant has been accepted as a student at the university with no requirements except for funding sponsor requirement, physical documents of diploma and GPA transcript of previous studies, and/or additional requirements which are unable to change the status of the accepted applicant in the study program or subject chosen. The letter includes the applicant’s full name, level of study, name of study program, as well as duration of study, length of study, the starting and/or the end date of academic year;

• If the applicant uploads an Unconditional LoA, the letter must meet the following criteria:

  • The name of university and study program must be in accordance with one of the available choices on the registration application.

  • Study intake must meet the provisions determined by the LPDP regarding the earliest permissible starting date of an academic year.

  • If the study intake stated in the Unconditional LoA uploaded is in conflict with the provisions, it is mandatory to attach a deferral letter from the university issuing the LoA.

  • If the applicant uploads an Unconditional LoA which is in conflict with the LPDP provisions, the LoA will be ignored or not considered (the status changes to  ‘have yet to receive LoA').

• Komitmen kembali ke Indonesia dan rencana kontribusi di Indonesia pasca studi (1500 – 2000 kata)

1. Deskripsikan diri Saudara.

2. Deskripsikan masalah urgent yang sedang dialami oleh Indonesia ataupun lingkungan sekitar anda dan solusi penyelesaian yang Anda tawarkan.

3. Deskripsikan pentingnya ilmu yang akan anda ambil dan bagaimana ilmu dan Anda dapat berkontribusi dalam penyelesaian masalah yang terjadi

4. Deskripsikan mimpi Saudara tentang Indonesia masa depan.

5. Deskripsikan peran apa yang akan Saudara lakukan.

6. Deskripsikan cara Saudara mewujudkan mimpi tersebut.

• Proposal Penelitian (Khusus Doktor) (1500 – 2000 kata)

1. Judul Penelitian Tuliskan judul penelitian.

2. Latar Belakang Uraikan secara singkat topik isu yang ingin Anda meneliti dan mengapa signifikan untuk Anda teliti.

3. Perumusan Permasalahan (Statement of Problem) Uraikan secara singkat apa yang telah Anda ketahui tentang topik isu tersebut dan diskusikan secara ringkas mengapa masih perlunya Anda meneliti. Tunjukkan bahwa solusi terhadap isu yang telah ada masih belum terselesaikan sepenuhnya sehingga Anda ingin melakuan penelitian.

4. Pertanyaan/Tujuan Penelitian Rumuskan tujuan pertanyaan penelitian.

5. Kelogisan (Rationale) Jelaskan bagaimana pertanyaan penelitian mendukung topik isu besar yang diangkat dalam latar belakang penelitian. Khusus penelitian, jelaskan hipotesis (jika ada) dan/atau model penelitian yang mendukung tujuan/pertanyaan penelitian.  Jelaskan pula kontribusi teoritis dan praktis jika hipotesis tidak terbukti.

6.  Metode dan Desain Jelaskan bagaimana Anda akan mengumpulkan data dan mengapa? Jelaskan mengapa metode ini adalah terbaik untuk mencapai tujuan Anda. Jelaskan analisis dan hasil yang mendukung maupun tidak mendukung hipotesis. Cantumkan outline jadwal penelitian dari awal sampai selesai.

7.  Signifikansi/Manfaat Deskripsikan secara umum, bagaimana penelitian yang Anda usulkan berguna baik secara teoritis maupun praktis.

8. Kesimpulan dan Saran Deskripsikan secara umum, bagaimana program penelitian yang Anda usulkan berguna baik secara teoritis maupun praktis.
