Jakarta, April 18, 2024 - Free education in metallurgy with immediate job placement? Not impossible.

The Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education Agency (LPDP) has recently opened three new scholarships for the Targeted Scholarship program. One of them offers an attractive post-study benefit, which is the opportunity to work directly in the field of study.

This scholarship is an opportunity to pursue a master's degree in Metallurgical Engineering at Northeastern University (NEU) in China. The scholarship covers a three-year study period.

Every participant who applies for the NEU scholarship will sign a work bond agreement with Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co. Ltd in Indonesia for two years.

Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co. Ltd is a Chinese nickel downstream industry operating in Indonesia under the name of Huayou Indonesia. The company processes and produces nickel for electric vehicle needs.

The total salary offered to each worker is between 180 million to 240 million Indonesian Rupiah per year. On average, the monthly salary is between 15 million to 20 million Indonesian Rupiah. Scholarship recipients can start working after July 1, 2027, or upon graduation.

The target of this co-funding scholarship is the general public with a D4 or bachelor's degree in metallurgy, chemistry, mineral processing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, geology, and other related fields. Applicants from civil servants, military personnel, and police are not allowed.
