Jakarta, April 18, 2024 - The Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education Agency (LPDP) has just opened targeted scholarships for universities in Korea and China on Wednesday (17/04).
This time, there are three destination universities open for applications, namely The University of Science and Technology (UST) in South Korea, Northeastern University (NEU) in China, and Central South University (CSU) in China.
At UST in South Korea, there are LPDP scholarships for master's and doctoral degrees in specific fields such as digital, renewable energy, blue economy, and biotechnology. The maximum study duration for master's degrees is two years, and for doctoral degrees, it is four years.
For NEU, the scholarship offered is in the field of Metallurgy for graduates of bachelor's degrees in metallurgy, chemistry, mineral processing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, geology, and other related fields.
Meanwhile, CSU provides scholarships in the fields of Metallurgy and Material Science for graduates of bachelor's degrees in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Material Engineering, Metallurgy, Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Geological Engineering, and others related.
Both NEU and CSU only offer scholarships for master's degrees with a maximum study duration of three years.
Specifically, graduates of NEU scholarships are required to undergo a work bond by working directly at ZHC Co. Ltd industry in Indonesia for two years.
These three scholarships are partnership cooperation programs. The UST scholarship in South Korea is a joint funding between LPDP and UST. The NEU scholarship is joint funding between the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenkomarves), LPDP, NEU, and Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co. Ltd. Meanwhile, the CSU scholarship is funded by Kemenkomarves, LPDP, CSU, and GEM Co. Ltd.
