Lombok, May 27, 2023 - The 5ME2045 LPDP Business Competition Roadshow has reached West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). To promote business competition for entrepreneurs and young people in NTB, LPDP, together with the Mata Garuda NTB community, conducted a program awareness event at the Auditorium of Al-Azhar Islamic University Mataram.
LPDP presented the 5ME2045 Business Competition program directly, first held this year. Five Million Entrepreneurs or 5ME is LPDP Business Competition's target to create five million entrepreneurs by 2045.
During its inaugural launch, LPDP Business Competition 2023 aims to receive and evaluate 5,000 proposals, providing feedback from professional judges. It is expected that in the coming years, the target for proposals and the growth of new entrepreneurs will increase.
In his welcoming address, Dr. Ir. Muh Ansyar, MP, the Rector of Al-Azhar Islamic University, fully supported the LPDP Business Competition, encouraging more people to become entrepreneurs.
"A developed country needs more entrepreneurs. Don't just aspire to be civil servants because civil servants cannot get rich, later, they will be monitored by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)," said Muh Ansyar cheerfully in front of participants and guests. "So please, direct your aspirations to become good entrepreneurs, be creative, especially in this young age," he added.
The event was filled with enthusiasm and attended by 230 participants occupying the seats of the Al-Azhar Islamic University Mataram Auditorium. There were detailed presentations related to the LPDP Business Competition program, including categories, themes, requirements, practical proposal development, and a Q&A session.
Beyond program awareness, a coaching clinic was conducted on business idea development methods and business proposal preparation for registration in the LPDP Business Competition. The content was delivered by LPDP scholarship recipients who are part of the Mata Garuda NTB.
Poisoning the Young Generation of Indonesia to Become Entrepreneurs
The 5ME2045 LPDP Business Competition Roadshow in Mataram, Lombok, NTB was attended by young people from various backgrounds, including high school/ vocational school students, university students, MSME players, LPDP awardees, the general public, and others.
LPDP felt compelled to participate in fostering entrepreneurship spirit to help create business startups, encouraging more Indonesian citizens to become entrepreneurs. To strengthen the national economy, the public sector must be supported by the private sector.
To promote private sector growth, it is necessary to cultivate new creative entrepreneurs among the youth so that, by 2045, coinciding with Indonesia's 100th anniversary, the national economy can be robust and prosperous for the people of Indonesia.
"From Sabang to Merauke, from north to south, we conduct a roadshow throughout Indonesia, both offline and online. All young participants are imbued with entrepreneurship. The hope is that through this process, a determination will grow within the youth to become entrepreneurs," said Juni Dearmanita Damanik, Head of LPDP Alumni Management Division.
The LPDP Business Competition awareness event in Mataram, NTB, started around 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM WITA. Similar events were held simultaneously in Dompu and previously in East Lombok on May 20.
