Jakarta, November 6, 2023 - The government through the Education Fund Management Institute is committed to its support for balancing the quality of Human Resources through the Regional Affirmation Scholarship Program and the Sons and Daughters of Papua Scholarship Program.

A total of 308 outstanding individuals from the affirmation regions, including sons and daughters of Papua who have passed the selection, gathered to participate in the Affirmation Orientation event in Ancol, North Jakarta.

Out of the participants, 250 will pursue master's studies and 58 will embark on doctoral studies. Among them, 180 will study at the best domestic campuses, while the remaining 128 will fly to the best international campuses. They consist of 120 males and 188 females.

They all came together to get to know each other, gain insights, and build networks and a collective sense of responsibility for the future.

Andin Hadiyanto, the CEO of Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education Agency (LPDP), emphasized the crucial role and dedication of the recipients of the Regional Affirmation Scholarship and the Sons and Daughters of Papua Scholarship in developing their regions. This is aimed at ensuring the equitable distribution of Human Resources and the future progress of the nation.

"As scholarship recipients, remain humble and make the most of the opportunities you've been given, strive to represent your best values by building confidence, strengthening love for the homeland, and fostering ties among fellow scholarship recipients," said Andin Hadiyanto addressing the hundreds of participants.

The event, held from November 2 to 4, 2023, also featured several inspirational speakers from various backgrounds. They included Ligwina Hananto (Founder & CEO QM Financial), Anisha Dasuki (Executive Producer iNews), Maria Jochu (Mata Garuda Papua), and Immanuel Franthos Papare (Assistant for Humanitarian Assistance, Subdirectorate Multilateral, Directorate of Security and Defense Cooperation, Ministry of Defense RI).

This Affirmation Orientation is the third batch since its inception in November 2022. It is a mandatory event for potential recipients of the Regional Affirmation Scholarship and the Sons and Daughters of Papua Scholarship who have successfully passed the selection process.

LPDP also provides a Language Enrichment Program for the participants who have qualified for the Affirmation and Sons and Daughters of Papua Scholarship to ease and maximize their potential.

Through the management of #UangKita, it is hoped that #LPDPScholarships can significantly benefit the best sons and daughters from disadvantaged regions and Papua to enhance their quality through pursuing the best further education worldwide.
