Jakarta, November 2, 2023 - The push to enhance Human Resources in the healthcare sector was a key focus during the 59th National Health Day commemoration by the Ministry of Health.

The acceleration of improving the Human Resources of medical personnel is one of the six pillars of the Indonesian Health Transformation Program. Hence, there's a need for an elevated level of education for doctors.

The Education Fund Management Institute has been a supporting partner in fulfilling the Ministry of Health's aspirations by providing scholarships for doctors pursuing specialization and subspecialization studies.

In an event themed "Collaboration in Supporting the Transformation of Health Human Resources for Indonesia's Progress," LPDP, represented by Hentri Wibowo, the Head of Scholarship Development Subdivision, highlighted that Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education Agency (LPDP) offers three scholarship programs for healthcare professions: specialist doctors, subspecialist doctors, and non-degree fellowship programs.

Based on the needs coordinated with the Ministry of Health, scholarships for specialist and subspecialist doctors are prioritized in fields like cardiovascular disease, stroke, urology, nephrology, or oncology. However, this doesn't preclude the possibility of pursuing other studies.

Meanwhile, the fellowship scholarships are aimed at specialist doctors who already possess a Registration Certificate (STR). The target hospitals can be from government or private sectors, both domestically and internationally.

The good news is that the Fellowship Scholarship program is open throughout the year. Registrations for the Fellowship Scholarship program open at the beginning of each month, like the current dates from November 1 to 7, 2023, and December 1 to 5, 2023.

The event, organized by the Directorate General of Health Personnel, lasted for three days from November 1 to 3, 2023. Several activities were attended by the Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and Vice Minister Dante.
